About Patricia

Welcome. I am a registered social worker (#10209) with BC College of Social Workers. I have a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia and have experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan in various healthcare including mental health and addiction counselling. I have trained in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

I am a member of BC College of Social Workers, BC Association of Social Workers, the AEDP Institute (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) and isEFT Institute (International Society for Emotion Focused Therapy).

In my private practice I work with adults who may feel dissatisfied with themselves or may be struggling inside.  My clients often experienced trauma or dismissive attachments earlier on in their lives. I help people when they feel stressed, anxious, and may have a sense of loneliness even though not necessarily alone.

I am passionate about my work and feel deeply touched by my clients' experiences and growth.  I see the "heart to heart" guidance as special and beautiful.

I grew up in France and have been in Canada since 1994, which means I am completely bilingual in English and French. My own transitions have shown me the joys and struggles of leaving one home behind and moving into a new stage of life. I bring this experience to my work with clients.

I am committed to my own ongoing growth and I am a lifelong learner. I keep taking new trainings and deepen my counselling techniques.
